Shane O'Reilly

Shane has been acting since the age of eight making his professional debut playing the role of Bernard on the television drama Nanettes New Glasses made by Disney. Realising at an early stage that his vocation was to be a performer he attended the  renowned Betty Ann Norton Theatre School, where he was a pupil for ten years completing all his grades with London Guildhall and a diploma with Thames University. While still at school Shane worked on Fair City as Larry Green and performed on the stages of the Gate, Tivoli, and Arc theatres. While acting was always at the forefront of Shane’s mind he did invest energy into his singing and dancing lessons which came to his aid when he played the role of Eanna in the Musical The Torc of Gold at the Arc Theatre. At the age of eighteen Shane began studying and training at Trinity College Dublin in the Drama and Theatre Studies course. He spent four years at TCD during which he performed in the docu-drama The Killings At Coolacrease, gave his voice to the character of DIG in the animated series The Resistors and played diverse roles from Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar to Dr. Dysart in Eqqus. Last September Shane performed in the Anna Livia Opera Festival playing roles in both Lucia Di Lammermoor and The Pearl Fishers directed by legendary Argentinian director Roberto Oswald. While at college Shane sang with the Gardiner Street Gospel Choir and also sang at many dublin venues such as The Button Factory and The Village. He completed his degree achieving a first class honors last May and is now working full time as an actor. Shane recently played the role of Stage Manager in the American classic Our Town by Thornton Wilder at The Mill theatre and also featured in Rough Magic’s production of Calderon’s Life is a Dream in the Project Theatre. His latest film work was with Robert Cawley playing the role of Will in the short film Love Sick. Shane is currently playing the role of Prince Charming in The Gaiety Theatre’s Christmas pantomime – Cinderella.

Christopher Collins

Christopher has been involved in theatre in some shape or form for as long as he can remember. From being the donkey in the nativity play to directing award-winning shows, he likes to think he has done it all! Christopher has toured throughout the United Kingdom with productions such as Sophocles Electra (Decoy Theatre) Michael Black's Pure Walking Evil (Carved Caffeine Theatre) and has peformed in many other theatres throughout the Republic of Ireland and The United Kingdom. In 2003, Christopher spent a year teaching drama and theatre studies to children in a boarding school in the south of England and between 2004 AND 2008, Christopher read a B.A. degree in Drama and Theatre Studies, with Shane, at Trinity College Dublin. Upon graduating with a first class honors from Trinity College, Trinity awarded him a fully-funded scholarship to read a PhD in Irish theatre. Christopher is primarily interested in theatre production and has spent time working with The Royal Court Theatre in London. He is currently in dramaturgical rehearsals for sochop's next production - Athol Fugard's The Island, which he will direct in March of next year.
